John Deere 2155 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Transmission fluid level checking procedure. When transmission oil is low, add recommended volume.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - R65450. Change as required.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - L38598. Replace if required.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine idle speed, steering, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Check and inflate tires as required.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Check hydraulic fluid level. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Check wheels and tighten nuts and bolts if required.

Every 250 hours

Replacing engine primary air filter. Air filter element part number: AR84228 / AL65051. Clean as required. Replace primary air filter if air cleaner indicator light continues to glow.

Inspect and service engine secondary air filter. Part number: AE31724. Never clean. Replace at every third change of primary air filter.

Clean the radiator with a brush if the fins are dirty.

Inspect and adjust alternator/fan belt. Change if belt is worn.

Check the tightening torque of the front and rear hub bolts.

Every 600 Hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended engine oil: Plus-50 or SAE 15W-40, classification CD, CC, SD. How much is needed - 6.0 L (1.6 gal). After completing the filling procedure, check motor oil level.

Changing oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: T19044. Clean the filter housing from dirt before replacing the filter element. When the filter is replaced, check the oil level. Add oil if it is low. Change oil and filter after every 250 hours, if conditions are not met.

Replace transmission/hydraulic fluid. Oil type - Hy-Gard. How much to fill: Collarshift transmission without reverser - 35.0 L (9.2 gal), Synchronized transmission with MFWD - 45.5 L (12.0 gal), Synchronized transmission without MFWD - 42.5 L (11.2 gal). Check transmission/hydraulic fluid level after changing.

Changing transmission oil filter. Transmission fluid filter part number - AR75603. Check the transmission fluid level after installing a new filter. Add oil if required. Change return flow filter as well.

Change hydraulic return flow filter. Hydraulic filter element part number - AL77061/AL56469. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic oil. If required, add it.

Replace diesel fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: AR50041. Check the correct operation of diesel fuel pump.

Check the coolant in radiator. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Check the hoses and fittings. Tighten as recommended.

Change front axle oil.

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Annually

Change filter and engine oil. Check and clean the lubrication system.

Replace air filter elements.

Change transmission filter and oil.

Replace hydraulic filter and fill the hydraulic system with fresh oil.

Change the hydrostatic steering oil filter. Part number - AL31413. Replace after every 1200 hours.

Replace the fuel filter, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add new coolant. Cooling system capacity: 10 L (2.6 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
