John Deere 3150 Maintenance Information

John Deere 3150 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check the engine oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking procedure. If transmission/hydraulic oil is too low, fill in new oil.

Check primary and secondary air filter. Install a new filters if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check idle engine speed, steering system, hand brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect tires and inflate if necessary.

Inspect the battery. Clean the terminals as required.

Check front axle oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Check oil level in the hydraulic tank. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Tighten wheel nuts and bolts.

Every 250 hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended motor oil type - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30. API Service Category CD, CC, SD. How much is needed: Engine oil capacity: 11.5 L (3.0 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Changing oil filter. Oil filter part number: T19044. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If required, add it.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Replace as required. Part number - R65450 or L38598.

Check fan/alternator belt for wear. A worn belt should be replaced.

Check the tightening torque of the hub bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Check engine primary air filter elements. Change if necessary. Air filter part number - AL30394.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Replace as required. Part number - AL30395.

Clean radiator grill from dirt.

Check radiator coolant. Top up if coolant is low.

Every 600 Hours

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended transmission/hydraulic oil: Hy-Gard. How much is required: Transmission/hydraulic capacity: 47 L (12.4 gal). After installing a new filter, check that the transmission oil level is correct.

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil filter. Oil filter part number: AR75603. After replacing the filter, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if required.

Change hydraulic return flow filter. Part number of hydraulic filter: AL77061/AL56469/RE34958. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.

Replace fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: AR50041. Check injection pump settings.

Check engine idle speeds. Adjust engine idle as required.

Check the tubes and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Inspect hydrostatic steering oil filter. Change every 1200 hours or annually. Part number - AL31413.

Change front axle fluid. Front axle capacity: 7.0 L (1.8 gal).

Adjust parking and service brakes.

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Change engine air cleaner elements.

Install a new transmission/hydraulic oil filter.

Replace transmission/hydraulic return flow filter and add fresh fluid to hydraulic system.

Change hydrostatic steering oil filter.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filter.

Replace cab recirculation air filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 19 L (5.0 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charging.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
