John Deere 4052R Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Transmission fluid level checking. If the transmission fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Checking air filter element. Change if necessary.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check idle engine speed, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Clean or replace cab fresh air filter. Part number: MIU10010.

Inspect cab recirculation air filter. Part number - MIU10011. Clean or replace as required.

Inspect tires and inflate if necessary.

Check battery charge. Charge the battery if necessary.

Checking the oil in front axle. Top up as necessary.

Check hydraulic system oil level. Fill as required.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Tighten wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Engine oil type - Plus-50, Torq-Gard Supreme, SAE 10W-40, 5W-30 API Service Classification CJ-4, or CK-4. Oil system capacity: 5.4 L (1.4 gal). Check motor oil level after changing.

Replacing engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: M806419. Before replacement procedure, clean the filter housing from dirt. When installation is complete, check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Clean the radiator grill from dust and dirt.

Inspect alternator/fan belt. Change if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 400 Hours

Change engine primary and final fuel filters. Engine primary fuel filter part number: MIU802421. Final fuel filter part number: MIU803127. Check the operation of injection pump.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended oil type - Hy-Gard (J20D). Transmission/hydraulic oil capacity: 47 L (12.4 gal). After installing a new filter, check that the transmission/hydraulic fluid level is correct.

Changing transmission oil filter. Transmission oil filter part number: RE45864. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil. Add oil if necessary.

Replace hydraulic filter element. Part number of hydraulic filter element - LVA10419. When the filter is replaced, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. Add oil if required.

Check the engine primary air filter and change if required. Part number: RE68048.

Engine secondary air filter elements replacement. Engine secondary air filter part number: RE68049.

Inspect diesel particulate filter (DPF). Replace as required. Part number - MIU802216.

Check the coolant in radiator. Top up if coolant is low.

Check engine idling. If necessary, adjust the idle speed on the engine.

Inspect all tubes and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Change front axle fluid.

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Change hydraulic/transmission fluid.

Change engine primary and final fuel filters by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling system capacity for OOS models - 6 L (1.5 gal), for Cab models - 8.0 L (2.1 gal).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injectors.
