John Deere 4430 Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Check fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - AR50041. Replace as required.

Transmission fluid level checking procedure. When the transmission fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Engine air filter checking. Install a new filter if required.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idling, steering system, service brakes and hand brake. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect front and rear tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check battery condition. Charge or replace.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Check the oil in hydraulic tank. Fill as required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check tractor for lost or loose screws and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended engine oil: SAE 30 API service classification Torq-Gard or CD-SD. How much to fill: Engine oil capacity - 15.1 L (4 gal). After completing the filling procedure, check motor oil level.

Engine oil filter replacement. Oil filter part number: AR43634. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. Add oil if required.

Change transmission oil. Recommended fluid type: Hy-Gard or Special 303. How much to fill: Transmission Capacity: Powershift - 37.9 L (10 gal), Quad-Range/Syncro-Range - 41.6 L (11 gal). After installing a new filter, check that the transmission oil level is correct.

Replace transmission/hydraulic oil filter. Transmission/hydraulic oil filter part number: AR75603 (2WD) or AR98098 (Power Front-Wheel Drive). Sealing washer R34733. Check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level after installing a new filter. Add oil if necessary.

Check and clean the cab fresh air filter. Part number - R60846 or R65450.

Check and service the cab recirculation air filter. Part number - RE12793 (standard) or RE67830 (heavy-duty).

Clean radiator surface from dirt.

Inspect and adjust alternator/fan belt. Replace if belt is worn.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Check the coolant in cooling system. Top up if required.

Check engine idling. If necessary, adjust the idle speed on the engine.

Inspect all hoses and tubes. Tighten as required.

Inspect engine primary air filter element. Primary air filter part number - AR79679. Service as required. Change annually.

Inspect engine secondary air filter. Part number - AR79680. Change as required. Clean as required. Replace annually.

Front axle oil change.

Adjust parking and service brakes.

Change engine oil and filter. Service oil system components.

Install a new primary and secondary air filters.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil.

Replace transmission/hydraulic filter.

Change hydraulic filter element. Clean filter every 1200 hours.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity: Cab models - 29.9 L (8 gal), w/o cab - 28.4 L (7.5 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charge.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injector pump.
