John Deere 6410L Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checking

Engine oil level checking procedure. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check hydraulic/transmission fluid level. When hydraulic/transmission oil is low, add recommended volume.

Engine air filters checking. Change if required.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering, service brakes and parking brake. If you found a problem, fix it.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 250 hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended motor oil: Plus-50, SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, 5W-30. API Service Category CJ-4, CI-4, CH-4. How much to pour: Engine Oil Capacity - 12 L (3.2 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Replace engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: RE59754. Flush the filter housing before the filter element replacement procedure. After installing a new filter, check the oil level. Add oil if required.

Every 300 hours

Check primary air filter and service as required. Part Number: AL78223.

Every 500 hours

Replace diesel primary fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: RE509208.

Change final fuel filter. Part number - RE62419. Inspect the operation of fuel injection pump.

Every 750 hours

Transmission oil filter replacement. Transmission filter part number - AL156625. After replacing the filter, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Change hydraulic filter. Part number of hydraulic filter: AL156625/RE34958. Check the hydraulic/transmission oil level after installing a new filter element. If required, add it.

Every 1500 hours

Changing hydraulic/transmission oil. Fluid type - Hy-Gard, JDM J20C, JDM J20D. Oil system capacity: SyncroPlus Transmission - 52 L (13.7 gal), PowrReverser Transmission - 52 L (13.7 gal), PowrQuad Transmission - 49 L (12.9 gal), PowrQuad with Creeper - 50 L (13.2 gal). After changing the hydraulic/transmission oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Replace engine primary air filter elements. Air filter part number - AL78223.

Replace engine secondary air filter element. Part number - AL78224.

Front axle lubricant change. Front Axle Capacity: W/o TLSTM - 5 L (1.3 gal), With TLSTM - 6 L (1.6 gal). Front axle oil: Hy-Gard.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Replace engine primary/secondary air filter elements.

Change transmission filter.

Change hydraulic filter and fill the hydraulic/transmission system with fresh fluid.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filters (primary/final).

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add new coolant. Cooling System Capacity: 11 L (2.9 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injection pump.
