Massey Ferguson 135 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Transmission oil level checking. When the transmission fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Engine air filter checking. Install a new filter element if necessary.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering unit, service brakes and hand brake. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Check tire pressure. If necessary, inflate the tires.

Test battery charging. If the charge level is low, charge the battery.

Checking the oil in front axle. Add if required.

Check hydraulic oil level. Fill as required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Inspect tractor for loose nuts and bolts.

Every 200 hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended engine oil type: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. How much is required: Engine Oil Capacity for Perkins diesel - 6.5 qt (6.2 L), for Continental Gas - 6.0 qt (5.7 L). After replacing the engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Replacing engine oil filter. Filter part number - 837595V91 (Perkins diesel) and 835817V91 (Continental Gas). When change the filter, cleaning the housing is required. When installation is complete, check the oil level. Add oil if it is low.

Clean radiator fins if fins are dirty.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and if it is worn, change it.

Check the tightening torque of the hub bolts.

Every 500 Hours

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number: 836218V92 (Diesel) / 521251M92 (Gas).

Check radiator coolant. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idle speeds. Adjust if necessary.

Check the tubes and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Change front axle oil.

Check and adjust the brake system components.

Every 750 Hours

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended transmission/hydraulic fluid: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. How much to add: Transmission Oil Capacity - 8 gal (30.3 L). After completing the filling procedure, check transmission oil level.

Replace filter element in hydraulic system. Part number of hydraulic filter element - 1871933M91/521451M1. Check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level after installing a new filter. If necessary, add it.

Replace the steering filter element. Part number - 835745M92 (Perkins diesel) and 1023057M1 (Continental Gas). Steering Oil Type - Permatran. Steering Oil Capacity - 1 qt (0.9 L).

Changing engine primary air filter elements. Primary air filter part number - 1807255V1 or 1029945M92.

Perform inspection and replacement of the engine secondary air filter. Part number - 523419M92.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Install a new primary and secondary air filter elements.

Install a new hydraulic filter and fill with fresh hydraulic/transmission oil.

Change steering filter.

Drain water from fuel tank, then replace the fuel filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 10 qt (9.8 L).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle/carburetor.
