Massey Ferguson 3225 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checking

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, fill in new oil.

Check engine primary and secondary air filter elements. Install new filter elements if necessary.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idling, steering, parking brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 250 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended engine oil: SAE 10W-30, 15W-40. API service classification CD/CF-4. Lubricating system capacity - 7.4 qt (7 L). Add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Engine oil filter replacement. Oil filter part number: 1447031M2. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. If required, add it.

Engine air filter elements checking. Clean or replace as required. Engine primary air filter part number: 3540046M1. Engine secondary air filter part number: 3540047M1.

Changing hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter element part number - 3530223M92. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Every 500 Hours

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - 836218V92. Check injection pump adjustments.

Inspect cab air filter element. Clean as required.

Changing steering filter. Steering filter part number - 3300901M91. Steering Oil Capacity - 1.6 qt (1.5 L). Steering Oil Type - Powerlube 411.

Every 1000 Hours

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended fluid type - Permatran, Final Drive - Gearlube 715. How much to fill: Oil Capacity - 8.7 gal (33 L). Check transmission/hydraulic fluid level after changing.

Replace cab air filter element. Cab air filter part number - 3302666M92, 3405118M1 Carbon.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Add coolant if necessary.

Change front axle oil. Front axle oil type - Powerlube 411.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 21.6 qt (20 L).

Inspect all clamps and hoses.

Check battery charge.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injection pump.
