Diesel hard to start or doesn't start: Fuel filter element is dirty. Filter maintenance required. Air in the fuel pipes. Bleed the fuel pipes. Fuel injection nozzles are faulty or clogged. Check and replace nozzles if required. Faulty fuel injection pump. Rebuild or change fuel pump.
