Engine starts but stops suddenly: Fuel filter element is dirty. Clean or change the filter. Fuel injection pump is faulty. Rebuild or install a new injection pump. Clogged air filter element. Carry out maintenance on air filter.

Engine overheated: Clogged radiator core or leaking radiator cap. Install new cap or clean radiator. Insufficient coolant fluid. Add coolant fluid and inspect the cooling system for leaks. Broken or loose fan belt. Belt change is required. Engine oil level low. Need to add engine oil.

Engine lacks power: Faulty fuel injection nozzles. Inspect nozzles and replace if necessary. Clogged fuel lines or hoses. Service fuel lines and hoses. Air filter element clogged. Replace air filter element. Damaged cylinder-head gasket. Install new cylinder head gasket.

Engine noise or knocking: Engine is not preheated. Warm up engine as required. Low engine oil level. Checking oil level and add if necessary. Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Dirty transmission fluid or insufficient fluid level. Pour fresh fluid or add transmission fluid to proper level. Stuck relief valve. Install a new valve. Worn or defective transmission components. Transmission oil overheated: Transmission overloaded. Load needs to be reduced. Clogged or damaged cooling components. Inspect all cooling components and replace or clean if necessary. Transmission fluid level is low. Need to add transmission fluid. Transmission fluid filter is clogged. Replace or service transmission fluid filter.

Power is too low: Transmission fluid level is low. Checking transmission fluid level and add if necessary. Relief valve malfunction. Change relief valve. Speed control linkage is defective or unadjusted. Adjust or install new linkage.
