Kubota B2301 Engine Troubleshooting
Engine starts up hard or will not start: Dirty fuel filter. Clean or change the filter. Air in fuel tank. Bleed fuel tank. Damaged or dirty injection nozzles. Install a new kit of correctly balanced nozzles. Fuel injection pump malfunctioning. Change or repair the pump.
Engine stalls while running: Timing of fuel injection pump is incorrect. Adjust as recommended. Fuel filter element clogging. Clean the filter element. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature. Warm up the engine.
Engine starts and immediately shuts off: Dirty fuel filter. Clean the filter or install new filter element. Fuel injection pump is defective. Replace or repair injection pump. Air filter plugged. Service or replace the air filter.
Engine overheating: Defective radiator cap or clogged radiator core. Replace cap or clean radiator. Lack of engine coolant. Add coolant fluid to cooling system and also check it for leaks. Fan belt is loose or defective. Change as required. Engine oil level is low. Check oil level and add oil as required.

Power is insufficient: Lack of transmission fluid. Fill the transmission housing to proper fluid level. Relief valve is damaged. Replace relief valve as required. Defective or not adjusted speed control pedal linkage. Adjust or repair linkage.
