Kubota B7500 Engine Troubleshooting

Engine starts hard or won't start: Fuel filter element is dirty. Service or replace the filter. Air in the fuel lines. Bleed the fuel lines. Dirty or faulty injection nozzles. If necessary, replace with a new nozzle. Fuel injection pump is defective. Replace or repair injection pump.

Engine shuts off suddenly during operation: Improper setting of fuel injection pump timing. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Fuel filter element is dirty. Replace filter element. Engine is not fully warmed up. Warm up the engine.

Engine starts but stops suddenly: Fuel filter plugging. Install new filter element. Fuel injection pump is damaged. Repair or install new pump. Dirty air filter element. Service or replace the air filter.

Engine overheats: Radiator core is clogged or radiator cap is leaking. Clean radiator or replace cap. Insufficient coolant. The cooling system needs to be refilled and checked for faults. Fan belt is worn or faulty. If necessary, replace the belt. Not enough engine oil. Add oil to the engine crankcase.

Engine power is reduced: Clogged or burnt injection nozzle. Clean or change injection nozzles. Restricted fuel hoses or lines. Clean fuel system hoses and lines. Clogged air filter element. Install new air filter element. Cylinder head gasket is damaged. Replace the gasket as required.

Engine noises or knocks: Engine is not preheated. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature. Lack of engine oil. Add oil to the engine crankcase. Improper setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust according to specifications. Broken or worn pistons. Install new pistons. Connecting rod is defective or misaligned. Transmission is excessively noisy: Gears are defective or backlash is improper. Change worn gears or adjust backlash correctly. Worn or bent gear shift forks. Shift forks need to be replaced. Worn or stuck shaft splines. Shaft need to be changed. Low oil level. Fill the transmission housing with oil. Bearings are cracked or worn. Install new bearings. Transmission fluid is dirty. Hydrostatic Transmission Troubleshooting

HST transmission noise: Speed control linkage is defective or unadjusted. Replace or adjust linkage. Transmission overload. Reduce the load is required. Insufficient oil level or contaminated oil. Change transmission oil or top up to proper level. Relief valve is damaged. Replace the valve. Defective or worn transmission parts. Replace or repair defective components.

Transmission fluid overheats: Transmission overload. The load should be reduced. Cooling components are clogged or damaged. Inspect all cooling components and replace or clean if necessary. Insufficient transmission fluid. Need to add transmission fluid. Plugged transmission oil filter. Clean or replace the transmission filter.

Loss of power: Low fluid level. Add fluid to the transmission housing. Relief valve failure. Replace the valve. Speed control linkage is worn or unadjusted. Change or adjust linkage.

External fluid leaks: Oil drain pipe is plugged. Check pipe and service if necessary. Seals or gaskets are worn. Install new seal or gaskets. Internal transmission housing pressure is too high. Replace worn components.

Hydraulic system overheated: Wrong hydraulic fluid type. Pour the proper type of fluid. Hydraulic oil is dirty. Hydraulic oil change required. Air trapped in hydraulic system. Bleed air from system. Main relief valve is damaged. Replace relief valve.

Battery does not charge: Loose or corroded cable connections. Clean or tighten wiring connections. Faulty electrical terminal connectors. Terminal connectors need to be changed. Battery faulty cell. Use a new battery. Loose or worn belt. Adjust belt tension or change the belt.

Starter motor cranks slow: Low battery output voltage. Battery is drained, charge it. Battery is draining quickly. Service charging system or install new battery. Bad terminals or disconnected battery cables. Check wiring and clean or replace terminals.
