Kubota BX2670 Engine Troubleshooting

Engine starts hard or will not start: Fuel filter element is clogged. Change filter element. Air in fuel tank. Bleed fuel tank. Fuel injection nozzles fault. If necessary, replace with a new nozzle. Damaged fuel injection pump. Replace injection pump or repair it.

Diesel shuts off while driving: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Fuel filter plugging. Change filter element. Engine is cold. Warm up engine as required.

Engine starts but stalls immediately: Fuel filter element clogging. Clean the filter element. Fuel injection pump is not operating properly. Rebuild or replace pump. Clogged air filter element. Replace air filter element.

Engine is overheated: Defective radiator cap or clogged radiator fins. Replace cap or clean radiator. Insufficient coolant. The cooling system needs to be refilled and checked for faults. Fan belt is broken or worn. Change the fan belt. Low engine oil level. Check oil level and add oil as required.

Engine power is reduced: Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Check and replace nozzles if required. Fuel lines or hoses are clogged. Fuel lines and hoses need to be cleaned. Restricted intake air. Air filter maintenance required. Cylinder head gasket is blown. Install new cylinder head gasket.

Abnormal engine knocking or noise: Engine is not preheated. Normalize the temperature by warming up the engine. Insufficient engine oil. Check and refill engine oil. Transmission oil is contaminated or oil level is insufficient. Fill to required level or change the transmission oil. Relief valve is stuck. Change relief valve. Transmission components are damaged or worn. Change or repair defective parts.

Transmission oil overheating: Transmission overloaded. Reduce transmission load. Plugged or defective cooling components. Check all cooling components and change or clean if required. Lack of transmission oil supply. Fill the transmission housing to proper oil level. Transmission fluid filter element clogging. Replace or service transmission fluid filter.

Low power: Lack of transmission oil supply. Fill the transmission housing to proper oil level. Relief valve failure. Replace valve as required. Speed control pedal linkage is damaged or out of adjustment. Adjust or install new linkage.

Transmission fluid leakage: Clogged oil drain line. Clean or replace drain line. Seals or gaskets are worn. Install new components. Internal transmission housing pressure is too high. Change defective components.
