Engine hard to start or will not start: Fuel filter plugged. Service the filter. Air in fuel system. Bleed fuel system. Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Service or change injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump is broken. Change or repair the pump.
Engine stalls while running: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Set up as recommended. Clogged fuel filter. Clean or replace the filter. Engine is not preheated. Warm up to required temperature.
Diesel starts but stalls immediately: Fuel filter element is dirty. Service the filter. Fuel injection pump is defective. Replace or repair injection pump. Air filter is dirty. Service air cleaner.
Engine overheated: Clogged radiator fins or leaking radiator cap. Install new cap or clean radiator. Not enough coolant. Fill the cooling system and check components for leaks or other faults.
