Kubota LX2610 Engine Troubleshooting

Engine hard to start or will not start: Fuel filter plugged. Service the filter. Air in fuel system. Bleed fuel system. Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Service or change injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump is broken. Change or repair the pump.

Engine stalls while running: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Set up as recommended. Clogged fuel filter. Clean or replace the filter. Engine is not preheated. Warm up to required temperature.

Diesel starts but stalls immediately: Fuel filter element is dirty. Service the filter. Fuel injection pump is defective. Replace or repair injection pump. Air filter is dirty. Service air cleaner.

Engine overheated: Clogged radiator fins or leaking radiator cap. Install new cap or clean radiator. Not enough coolant. Fill the cooling system and check components for leaks or other faults. Loose or defective fan belt. Change the fan belt. Low engine oil level. Check oil level and add oil as required.

Poor engine power: Clogged or defective injection nozzles. Service or change injection nozzles. Fuel lines or hoses are dirty. Clean fuel system hoses and lines. Clogged air filter element. Install new air filter element. Cylinder head gasket is damaged. Replace the gasket as required.

Oil is dirty or oil level is too low. Add oil to the correct level or fill the transmission with fresh oil. Relief valve malfunction. Change the valve.
