Engine hard to start or doesn't start: Fuel filter plugging. Service or replace the filter. Air in the fuel system. Air bleeding. Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Install a new kit of correctly balanced nozzles. Faulty fuel injection pump. Replacement or repair required.

Engine shuts off suddenly while running: Fuel injection pump timing is not adjusted. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Fuel filter plugged. Replace the filter element. Coolant temperature is low. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Engine starts but immediately stalls: Dirty fuel filter. Clean or change the filter. Damaged fuel injection pump. Repair or change injection pump. Air cleaner is dirty. Clean or change the filter.

Engine overheating: Dirty radiator fins or defective radiator cap. Install new cap or clean radiator. Engine coolant is insufficient. Top up coolant fluid and check system for leaks. Excessive wear of the fan belt. Replace the fan belt. Engine oil level is insufficient. Check and refill engine oil.

Lack of engine power: Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Change fuel injection nozzles. Clogged fuel hoses or lines. Fuel lines and hoses need to be cleaned. Air cleaner is dirty. Change air filter element. Leaking cylinder head gasket. Change cylinder head gasket.

Engine knocking sound or abnormal noise: Engine is not preheated. Warm up to required temperature. Engine oil level low. Need to add engine oil. Incorrect adjustment of fuel injection pump timing. Set it up as required. Worn or broken pistons. Replace the pistons. Connecting rod is misaligned or defective. Connecting rod must be aligned or replaced.

Engine shuts off while idling: Low idle speed set incorrectly. Test and adjust. Excessive valve clearance. Adjust valve clearance. Fuel injection pump malfunction. Repair or install new pump.

Low oil pressure: Engine oil insufficient. Checking oil level and add if necessary. Worn oil pump. Inspect and change as required. Oil filter clogged. Change or clean engine oil filter element.

Excessive transmission noise: Defective gears or improper backlash. Install new gears and adjust backlash properly. Worn or damaged gear shift forks. Shift forks need to be replaced. Worn or stuck shaft splines. Replace defective shaft. Transmission oil insufficient. Check and refill the transmission oil. Worn or broken bearings. Replace the bearings. Transmission oil is contaminated. Transmission oil change required.

Hard shifting: Corroded or worn gear shift linkage. Install a new gear shift linkage. Malfunction or incorrect clutch adjustment. Clutch replacement or adjustment required. Worn or damaged gear shift forks. Install new shift forks. Gearshift mechanism is damaged. Replace or repair the mechanism.

Low transmission oil pressure: Insufficient transmission fluid. Checking transmission fluid level and add if necessary. Transmission fluid filter element clogging (if equipped). Replace or service transmission fluid filter. Relief valve failure. Replace valve as required.

Transmission fluid leaking: Seals or gaskets are worn. Change defective seal or gaskets. Transmission oil level is exceeded. Correct the oil volume.

Hydraulic system overheated: Hydraulic fluid type is wrong. Use correct type of hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid is dirty. Hydraulic fluid change required. Air in hydraulic lines. Bleed hydraulic lines. Main relief valve is defective. Install a new relief valve.

Steering wheel is very heavy to turn: Air lock in the steering system. Need to bleed air. Steering filter is plugged. Clean or change it. Steering oil level is low. Adjust toe-in properly. Loose or worn steering linkage parts. Repair or replace steering linkage. Damaged or improperly adjusted or worn front wheel bearings. Change or adjust the bearings properly. Tyre pressure is uneven. Adjust the tyre pressure.

Kubota M100GX Electrical System Troubleshooting

Battery is not charging: Corroded or loose electrical wire connections. Clean or tighten connections. Electrical terminal connectors are defective. Terminal connectors should be replaced. Bad cell in battery. Install a new battery. Worn or loose belt. Need to adjust belt tension or replace belt.

Starter turns slowly: Battery capacity is low. Battery is drained, charge it. Battery does not hold charge. Battery needs service or replacement. Disconnected wires or corroded battery terminals. Check cable connections and change or clean terminals.
