Engine hard to start or won't start: Clogged fuel filter. Clean or replace the filter. Air in fuel system. Bleed fuel system. Clogged injection nozzle. Change fuel injection nozzles. Damaged fuel injection pump. Rebuild or change fuel pump.

Engine stalls while running: Incorrect adjustment of fuel injection pump timing. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Fuel filter element clogging. Service or replace the filter. Low coolant temperature. Warm up to required temperature.

Diesel starts but stalls suddenly: Fuel filter element clogging. Install new filter element. Fuel injection pump is defective. Rebuild or change fuel pump. Dirty air filter element. Service air cleaner.

Engine is overheated: Radiator fins are clogged or radiator cap is faulty. Replace cap or clean radiator. Lack of engine coolant. Add coolant fluid to cooling system and also check it for leaks. Broken or loose fan belt. Change as required. Engine oil level is insufficient. Fill up the oil to required level.

Reduced engine power: Fuel injection nozzles are dirty or defective. Clean or replace injection nozzles. Fuel lines or hoses are dirty. Clean fuel system lines and hoses. Restricted intake air. Clean air cleaner element. Damaged cylinder-head gasket. Gasket should be replaced.

Engine knocks or noises: Engine not warmed up. Warm up the engine. Engine oil level is insufficient. Check oil level and add oil as required. Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust according to specifications. Scored or worn pistons. Pistons replacement required. Connecting rod is misaligned or worn. Need to change or align the connecting rod.

Transmission is excessively noisy: Incorrect backlash or gears are worn. Adjust backlash correctly or replace the gears. Shift forks are worn or bent. Replace the shift forks. Worn or stuck shaft splines. Change defective shaft. Insufficient transmission oil. Check and refill the transmission oil. Worn or damaged bearings. Bearings replacement required. Transmission fluid is dirty. Change the fluid.

Gear shift is hard: Worn or rusty gear shift linkage. Shift linkage need to be replaced. Clutch is out of adjustment or defective. Adjust clutch or change if necessary. Damaged or worn gear shift forks. Shift forks need to be replaced. Defective parts in the gearshift mechanism. Replace defective parts.

Transmission fluid pressure is insufficient: Lack of transmission oil supply. Fill the transmission housing to proper oil level. Clogged transmission fluid filter (if equipped). Replace or service transmission fluid filter. Relief valve failure. Replace relief valve.

Transmission oil leaking: Seals or gaskets are worn. Seals and gaskets need to be replaced. High transmission fluid level. Drain the excess fluid.

Kubota M100X Hydraulic System Troubleshooting

Hydraulic system overheats: Improper type of hydraulic oil. Use the proper type of oil. Contaminated hydraulic oil. Change hydraulic oil. Air in the hydraulic system. Air bleeding. Main relief valve is damaged. Relief valve must be changed.

Insufficient hydraulic oil pressure: Hydraulic oil level low. Need to add oil. Clogged hydraulic fluid filter. Clean or replace the hydraulic filter. Leaks in hydraulic pipes. Inspect the system for leaks and fix it. Hydraulic spool valve is out of adjustment. Spool valve adjustment required. Faulty hydraulic pump. Replace or repair hydraulic fluid pump. Steering wheel is very heavy to turn: Air trapped inside steering system. Need to bleed air. Steering filter clogging. Install new steering filter element. Insufficient steering oil. Need to add steering oil. Worn or defective hydrostatic steering unit. Repair or replace the steering unit. Steering pump not working. Check the steering pump and replace if necessary.
