Diesel engine hard to start or doesn't start: Fuel filter plugged. Service or replace the filter. There is air in the fuel system. Bleed the system. Damaged or dirty injection nozzles. Change fuel injection nozzles. Damaged fuel injection pump. Install a new pump or rebuild.

Engine stops unexpectedly during operation: Fuel injection pump timing is not adjusted. Adjust according to specifications. Fuel filter element clogging. Clean or change the filter. Engine is cold. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Diesel starts and stalls immediately: Fuel filter element clogging. Change filter element. Fuel injection pump is faulty. Replace injection pump or repair it. Dirty air filter. Install new air filter element.

Engine overheated: Dirty radiator fins or faulty radiator cap. Replace cap or clean radiator. Engine coolant is insufficient. Refill to the correct level and inspect system for leaks. Fan belt is worn or faulty. Belt change is required. Lack of engine oil. Fill the crankcase with engine oil.

Loss of engine power: Defective injection nozzle. Check and replace nozzles if required. Fuel lines or hoses clogging. Clean fuel hoses and lines. Air filter is clogged. Clean or change. Cylinder head gasket is defective. Replace cylinder head gasket.
