Engine overheats: Defective radiator cap or clogged radiator fins. Change cap or clean radiator. Coolant level is low. Add coolant fluid to cooling system and also check it for leaks. Fan belt slipping or worn. Change as required. Engine oil level low. Need to add engine oil.
Poor engine power: Damaged or dirty injection nozzles. Check injection nozzles and replace if required. Fuel lines or hoses are dirty. Clean fuel lines and hoses. Clogged air filter. Replace air filter element. Cylinder-head gasket is broken. Replace the gasket as required.
Engine knocks or noises: Engine is not preheated. Warm up engine as required. Not enough engine oil. Check and refill engine oil. Timing of fuel injection pump is incorrect. Adjust according to specifications. Worn or scored pistons. Have pistons replaced. Connecting rod is worn or misaligned. Connecting rod must be aligned or replaced.
Engine stalls while idle: Low idle speed adjustment is incorrect. Correct low idle settings. Excessive valve clearance. Adjust valve clearance. Fuel injection pump failure. Change or repair the pump.
Oil pressure is insufficient: Engine oil level low. Fill up the engine oil. Oil pump is worn or damaged. Replace as required. Dirty oil filter element. Clean or change engine oil filter.
Kubota M7580 Transmission Troubleshooting
Transmission is making noise: Gears are damaged or backlash is incorrect. Replace gears or adjust backlash correctly. Worn or bent shift forks. Shift forks need to be changed. Damaged or worn shaft splines. Shaft need to be replaced. Insufficient transmission fluid. Add fluid to the transmission housing. Worn or broken bearings. Bearings replacement required. Transmission oil is dirty. Change the oil.
Hard shifts: Worn or rusty gear shift linkage. Replace or lubricate the shift linkage. Clutch is worn or not adjusted. Adjust clutch or replace if required. Worn or bent shift forks. Shift forks need to be changed. Defective parts in the gearshift mechanism. Replace defective parts.
Low transmission pressure: Transmission fluid level is low. Need to add transmission fluid. Transmission fluid filter element is clogged (if equipped). Clean or change transmission fluid filter. Relief valve is stuck. Install a new valve.
Transmission fluid leaking: Damaged seals or gaskets. Seals and gaskets replacement required. Transmission oil level is high. Correct the oil volume.
Kubota M7580 Hydraulics Troubleshooting
Hydraulic system overheating: Hydraulic fluid type is incorrect. Pour the correct type of fluid. Hydraulic fluid contamination. Change hydraulic fluid. Air in the hydraulic system. Air bleeding. Main relief valve malfunctioning. Replace relief valve.
Hydraulic fluid pressure too low: Insufficient hydraulic fluid. Fill up the hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid filter element is clogged. Install a new hydraulic filter element. Leaks in hydraulic lines. Inspect hydraulic system for leaks and repair it. Not adjusted hydraulic control valve. Need to adjust. Hydraulic pump is faulty. Repair or replace hydraulic oil pump. Faulty hydraulic cylinder. Change or repair hydraulic cylinder.
Hitch not lifting or hitch lifts slowly: Hydraulic pump failure. Change or repair hydraulic oil pump. Damaged main relief valve. Relief valve need to be replaced. Defective hydraulic spool valve block. Repair or change the valve. Damaged hydraulic cylinder. Repair or replace hydraulic cylinder. Insufficient hydraulic fluid. Add fluid as required. Clogged hydraulic oil filter. Replace hydraulic filter element or service if necessary. Excessive hitch loading. Reduce the load is required.
Hitch cannot be dropped or dropping is too slow: Hydraulic cylinder is broken. Repair or install a new hydraulic cylinder. Incorrect setting hydraulic control valve. Use the correct adjustment. Damaged hitch rock shaft. Change the shaft. Three-point hitch has not been adjusted. Adjust 3-point hitch as required.
Hitch drop or lift is jerky: Contaminated hydraulic fluid. Change hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic pump is faulty. Install a new hydraulic oil pump. Air in hydraulic lines. Bleed hydraulic lines. Hydraulic spool valve block is defective. Install a new hydraulic valve or repair it. Hydraulic cylinder not working. Repair or replace hydraulic cylinder.
Kubota M7580 Steering Troubleshooting
Steering wheel free play is excessive: Steering column shaft or coupling has maximum wear. Replace defective component. Steering pump not working. Replace or repair steering pump. Worn or loose steering linkage joints. Check and replace as required. Power steering control valve is damaged or worn. Repair or change the steering control valve.
Steering is hard: Air lock in hydraulic steering system. Need to bleed air. Dirty steering filter element. Change steering filter element. Steering oil insufficient. Check and refill steering oil. Power steering control valve has wear or damage. Inspect and change as required. Faulty steering pump. Install a new hydraulic steering pump. Damaged or stuck steering pump control valve. Replace or clean flow control valve. Improperly assembled or defective steering column. Reassemble or change the steering column. Tire pressure is uneven. Adjust the tire pressure. Improper toe-in. Adjust toe-in wheels. Steering cylinder is leaking. Replace worn cylinder seals or scratched piston rod.
