Engine starts hard or won't start: Fuel filter element is dirty. Service or replace the filter. There is air in the fuel system. Bleed the system. Dirty or damaged injection nozzles. Change fuel injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump failure. Replace injection pump or repair it.

Engine stalls while running: Improper setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust fuel injection pump as required. Clogged fuel filter. Service the filter. Engine not warmed up. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Engine starts but stalls immediately: Fuel filter plugged. Replace filter element. Fuel injection pump malfunctioning. Install a new pump or rebuild. Clogged air filter element. Service air cleaner.

Engine overheating: Radiator core is clogged or radiator cap is leaking. Change cap or clean radiator. Coolant level is low. Add coolant and check the components of cooling system. Damaged or worn fan belt. Replace the fan belt. Not enough engine oil. Fill the crankcase with engine oil.

Engine lacks power: Fuel injection nozzles are damaged. If necessary, replace with a new nozzle. Fuel hoses or lines are clogged. Service fuel hoses and lines. Air filter is dirty. Clean air cleaner element. Leaking cylinder head gasket. Replace the gasket as required.

Engine noises or knocks: Coolant temperature is low. Warm up to required temperature. Engine oil level low. Checking oil level and add if necessary. Improper setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust the pump as required. Broken or worn pistons. Pistons replacement required. Connecting rod misalignment or failure. Connecting rod needs to be replaced or aligned.

Transmission oil leaking: Seals or gaskets are worn. Install new seal or gaskets. Too much fluid in transmission. Excess fluid must be drained.

Hydraulic system overheating: Hydraulic oil type is incorrect. Pour the correct type of oil. Hydraulic oil is dirty. Hydraulic oil change required. Air in hydraulic system. Bleed air from hydraulic system. Faulty main relief valve. Install a new relief valve.
