ASV RT30 Track Loader Troubleshooting

The ASV Posi-Track RT30 compact track loader is powered by 92.1 cu.in (1.5L) Perkins 403D-15 vertical in-line three-cylinder indirect injection liquid cooled diesel engine with a rated power of 32.7 hp (25.1 kW). The ASV RT-30 is equipped with a single-speed transmission, radial-lift loader boom, and suspended undercarriage with 11" (280 mm) rubber tracks. The hydraulic system has a pump with fluid flow rate of 10 gpm (38 lpm). The hydraulic pressure is 3000 psi (207 bar). The loader has a rated operating capacity of 665 lbs (302 kg) and tipping load of 1900 lbs (862 kg). The lift height is 101" (2565 mm) to hinge pin, and dump height is 77" (1955 mm).

Engine Troubleshooting

Engine starts up hard or won't start

Air in the fuel pipes - Bleed the fuel pipes.
Fuel filter element is dirty - Replace the filter element.
Dirty or faulty injection nozzles - Test injection nozzles and change if necessary.
Water in the fuel system - Change fuel and repair fuel system.
Improper valve clearance - Adjust valve clearance according to specifications.

Excessive hydraulic pump noise

Hydraulic leaks or low oil level - Correct hydraulic leaks or top up oil as needed.

Air trapped in hydraulic pump - Bleed air from hydraulics.

Electrical Troubleshooting

Battery is not charging

Corroded or loose electrical wire connections - Clean or tighten connections.

Starter motor turns slow

Low battery voltage - Low battery charging, charge as required.
