Case 440CT Track Loader Troubleshooting

The Case 440CT Series 3 compact track loader driveline system components: a 274 cu.in (4.5L) Case 445T/M3 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a rated power of 90 hp (674 kW) and 2-speed hydro transmission. The hydraulic system has a pump with a rated flow of 21.9 gpm (83 lpm). The system pressure is 3050 psi (210 bar). The Case 440CT is equipped with a radial piston drive motors, single planetary reduction, and 15.7" (400 mm) rubber tracks with steel inserts. The loader has a max lift height of 121.5" (3090 mm) to hinge pin and dump height of 96.6" (2450 mm). The rated operating capacity is 2100 lbs (952 kg), and tipping load is 6000 lbs (2720 kg).

Engine Troubleshooting

Engine difficult to start or will not start

Air in fuel system - Bleed fuel system.
Fuel filter element is clogged - Change filter element.
Dirty or faulty injection nozzles - Check injection nozzles and replace if required.
Water or dirt in fuel system - Drain, flush, and service the system.
The valve clearance is incorrect - Adjust valve clearance.

Starter turns slow
