Engine starts up hard or won't start: Fuel filter plugged. Change filter element. Air in the fuel lines. Bleed the fuel lines. Fuel injection nozzles are damaged or dirty. Test injection nozzles and change if necessary. Fuel injection pump damage. Repair or change injection pump.

Engine shuts off while running: Fuel injection pump timing is wrong. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Clogged fuel filter. Clean or replace the filter. Low coolant temperature. Warm up engine as required.

Diesel starts but immediately stops: Fuel filter element clogging. Install new filter element. Faulty fuel injection pump. Replace injection pump or repair it. Dirty air cleaner. Replace air filter element.

Engine is overheated: Clogged radiator core or leaking radiator cap. Clean radiator or replace cap. Coolant level is low. Fill radiator to proper level and check components for faults. Loose or defective fan belt. Belt replacement is recommended. Insufficient engine oil. Check oil level and add oil as required.

Change the oil.

Gears are hard to shift: Gear shift linkage is corroded or worn. Shift linkage need to be replaced. Worn or unadjusted clutch. Clutch needs to be adjusted or changed. Worn or damaged gear shift forks. Change defective shift forks. Worn parts of the gear shifting mechanism. Change worn parts.

Power steering control valve is damaged or worn. Inspect and change as required. Steering pump malfunction. Steering pump needs to be replaced or repaired. Steering pump control valve is stuck or faulty. Change or flush control valve. Defective or incorrectly mounted steering column. Change steering column or mount correctly. Uneven tyre pressure. Inflate the tyres properly. Incorrect toe-in. Adjust toe-in properly. Steering cylinder leaks. Change damaged piston rod or worn seal sleeves.

Tractor pulls to right or left: Power steering control valve is defective or worn. Repair or replace the steering control valve. Steering cylinder is damaged. Battery will not charge: Electrical cable connections are corroded or loose. Tighten or clean connections. Defective battery terminal connectors. Terminal connectors should be replaced. Battery bad cell. Change the battery. Belt is loose or defective. Install a new belt or adjust belt tension.

Starter motor cranks slow: Low battery capacity. Battery needs to be recharged. Battery runs out quickly. Service battery or replace it. Disconnected wiring or bad battery terminals. Check cable connections and replace or service terminals.
