Engine starts and then shuts off: Fuel filter element is clogged. Filter maintenance required. Fuel injection pump is damaged. Rebuild or change fuel pump. Air filter is clogged. Change air filter element.

Steering is stiff: Air lock in hydraulic steering system. Bleed air from system. Dirty steering filter. Clean steering filter element. Insufficient steering oil. Need to add steering oil. Power steering control valve has wear or malfunction. Change or repair control valve if required. Hydraulic steering pump is defective. Steering pump needs to be repaired or replaced. Steering pump control valve is stuck or faulty. Clean or replace control valve. Incorrectly assembled or damaged steering column. Reassemble the steering column correctly or change it. Starter turning slow: Low battery power. Recharge the battery. Battery won’t hold charge. Service battery or change it. Wires are disconnected or battery terminals are corroded. Check cable connections and replace or service terminals.
