Boomer 8N Engine Troubleshooting

Engine starts hard or doesn't start: Fuel filter element clogging. Change filter element. Air in the fuel lines. Bleed the fuel lines. Damaged or dirty injection nozzles. Clean or replace injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump is faulty. Replace injection pump or repair it.

Engine stops running suddenly: Fuel injection pump timing is not adjusted. Set the fuel pump timing correctly. Fuel filter plugging. Clean or replace the filter. Low coolant temperature. Warm up to required temperature.

Engine starts but stalls suddenly: Fuel filter plugged. Replace filter element. Fuel injection pump failure. Rebuild or change fuel pump. Plugged air cleaner. Service or replace the air filter.

Engine overheating: Clogged radiator core or leaking radiator cap. Replace cap or clean radiator. Low engine coolant. Fill the cooling system and check components for leaks or other faults. Fan belt slipping or worn. Change as required. Engine oil level is insufficient. Check oil level and add oil as required.

Dirty transmission fluid or insufficient fluid level. Add fluid to the correct level or fill the transmission with fresh fluid. Control valve is stuck. Replace the valve. Transmission components are damaged or worn. Check internal transmission parts for damage or wear and replace if required.

Transmission fluid overheating: Transmission is under excessive load. Reduce transmission load. Cooling components are plugged or defective. Check all cooling components and change or clean if required. Lack of transmission oil supply. Fill the transmission housing with oil. Transmission oil filter is clogged.
