The New Holland C234 compact track loader driveline system components: a 207 cu.in (3.4L) FPT F5B FL413E 4-cylinder direct injection turbocharged diesel engine with a rated power of 84 hp (62 kW), and 2-speed hydrostatic transmission. The hydraulic system has a pump with a rated capacity of 24.2 gal/min (91.5 l/min). The system pressure is 3050 psi (210 bar). The New Holland C234 is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes and steel-embedded rubber tracks. The compact track loader has a lift height of 126.5" (3215 mm) to hinge pin and dump height of 102.4" (2600 mm). The rated operating capacity is 2380 lbs (1080 kg), and tipping load is 6800 lbs (3085 kg).
Engine Troubleshooting
Diesel hard to start or doesn't start
Air in the fuel lines - Bleed the fuel lines.

Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing - Set up as recommended.
Engine stops when idling
Incorrectly set low idle speed - Normalize low idle speed.

Diesel engine overloaded - Reduce load on the engine.
Oil pressure too low
Insufficient engine oil - Fill crankcase to proper oil level.
Oil filter element clogged - Clean or replace engine oil filter element.
Improper type of engine oil - Drain and refill with oil of correct grade and viscosity.
Incorrect crankshaft bearing oil clearance - Change bearings.
Oil pump is defective - Remove and inspect oil pump.
Engine knocking or noise
Not enough engine oil - Fill up the engine oil.
Coolant temperature is low - Warm up the engine.
Incorrect adjustment of fuel injection pump timing - Set it up as required.
Low idle speed set incorrectly - Test and adjust.
Fuel injector fault - Replace fuel injectors.
Connecting rod is worn or not aligned - Need to change or align the connecting rod.

Machine will not drive straight or drives jerky
Damaged or jammed undercarriage tracks - Repair or remove jamming.
Tracks are loose or worn - Replace tracks or adjust track tension.
Undercarriage track frame is clogged with dirt or foreign objects - Clean track frame, remove foreign objects.
Power is too low
Hydraulic oil filter is plugged - Change or clean hydraulic filter.
Relief valve is worn or opened - Close or replace relief valve.
Transmission components are defective or worn - Inspect and replace defective parts.
Input drive shaft is stuck - Replace drive shaft.
Hydraulic system is leaking air - Air bleeding is required.
Overheated drive system
Hydraulic oil level is low - Check and refill the hydraulic oil.
Clogged hydraulic fluid filter - Replace or clean hydraulic filter.
Relief valve failure - Repair or replace.
Damaged drive pump or hydraulic motor - Replace or repair faulty component.
Hydraulic oil cooler is plugged - Clean cooling fins as required.

Starter cranks slow
Battery capacity is low - Low battery charging, charge as required.

Starter doesn't crank
Battery is drained or worn - Recharge or replace battery.
Wiring is incorrectly connected or disconnected - Inspect wiring and connect correctly.
Low battery power - Recharge the battery.
Defective starter motor - Change or repair starter.
