Engine hard to start or will not start: Fuel filter element is clogged. Clean the filter element. Air in the fuel lines. Bleed the fuel lines. Faulty or dirty injection nozzles. Clean or change injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump is faulty. Replace or rebuild injection pump.

Engine stops unexpectedly during operation: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust as recommended. Fuel filter element is dirty. Filter maintenance required. Engine is not fully warmed up. Warm up engine as required.

Diesel starts and suddenly stops: Dirty fuel filter. Install new filter element. Faulty fuel injection pump. Replace or rebuild injection pump. Air filter clogged. Replace air filter element.

Engine overheated: Faulty radiator cap or dirty radiator fins. Replace cap or clean radiator. Insufficient coolant. Fill the cooling system and check components for leaks or other faults. Damaged or worn fan belt. Replace the fan belt. Engine oil insufficient. Fill the crankcase with engine oil.

Poor engine power: Fuel injection nozzles are damaged or dirty. Test injection nozzles and change if necessary. Fuel lines or hoses clogging. Clean fuel system hoses and lines. Clogged air filter. Replace air filter element. Cylinder head gasket is blown. Change cylinder head gasket.

Abnormal engine knocking or noise: Engine not warmed up. Warm up engine as required. Insufficient engine oil. Fill up the engine oil. Fuel injection pump timing is wrong. Transmission makes excessive noise: Defective gears or improper backlash. Install new gears and set backlash correctly. Shift forks are bent or worn out. Change the shift forks. Shaft splines are worn or damaged. Replace defective shaft. Lack of transmission oil supply. Check and refill the transmission oil. Worn or broken bearings. Faulty bearings should be changed. Transmission oil contamination. Fill up with fresh transmission oil.

Gears are hard to shift: Gear shift linkage is corroded or worn. Shift linkage need to be replaced. Worn or unadjusted clutch. Clutch needs to be adjusted or changed. Hydrostatic Transmission Troubleshooting

Hydrostatic transmission noise: Speed control pedal linkage is damaged or out of adjustment. Replace or adjust linkage. Transmission is under excessive load. Reduce loading. Insufficient oil level or contaminated oil. Fill to required level or change the transmission oil. Relief valve is damaged. Replace relief valve as required. Transmission parts are worm or defective. Change or repair defective parts.

Transmission oil overheating: Excessive loading. Reduce the load is required. Cooling components are plugged or defective. Check all cooling components and repair or change if required. Lack of transmission oil supply. Fill the transmission housing to proper oil level. Plugged transmission oil filter. Service or replace the transmission oil filter.

Power is insufficient: Insufficient transmission oil. Check transmission oil level and add oil as required. Relief valve is stuck. Install a new relief valve. Bent or unadjusted speed control pedal linkage. Change or adjust linkage.

Transmission oil leaks: Plugged transmission fluid return tube. Service or replace return tube. Seals or gaskets are worn. Install new components. Transmission case internal pressure is too high. Change defective components.

Hydraulic system is overheated: Hydraulic oil type is incorrect. Pour the correct type of oil. Contaminated hydraulic fluid. Change hydraulic fluid. Air in hydraulic system. Bleed air from hydraulic system. Faulty main relief valve. Relief valve need to be replaced.

Low hydraulic oil pressure: Hydraulic oil level low. Fill the system to proper hydraulic oil level. Hydraulic oil filter element is clogged. Install a new hydraulic filter element. Battery cannot be charged: Loose or corroded wire connections. Service or tighten cable connections. Faulty battery terminal connectors. Terminal connectors should be replaced. Battery failing. Battery replacement required. Belt is damaged or loose. Adjust belt tension or change the belt.

Starter motor cranks slow: Low battery output voltage. Battery is drained, charge it. Battery is draining quickly. Battery needs service or replacement. Disconnected battery cables or bad terminals. Connect cables correctly or replace terminals.
