New Holland T2410 Engine Troubleshooting

Engine starts hard or will not start: Clogged fuel filter. Clean the filter element. Air in the fuel system. Air bleeding. Clogged injection nozzle. Install a new kit of correctly balanced nozzles. Damaged fuel injection pump. Change pump or rebuild it.

Engine stalls while running: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust fuel injection pump as required. Fuel filter element is clogged. Change filter element. Coolant temperature is low. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Diesel starts but immediately stops: Dirty fuel filter. Service the filter. Fuel injection pump is not operating properly. Rebuild or install a new injection pump. Dirty air cleaner. Replace air filter element.

Engine is overheated: Dirty radiator fins or faulty radiator cap. Replace cap or clean radiator. Low engine coolant. Add coolant fluid and inspect the cooling system for leaks. Fan belt is broken or worn. Install new fan belt. Engine oil level is insufficient. Need to add engine oil.
