Engine starts hard or will not start: Clogged fuel filter. Clean the filter element. Air in fuel tank. Bleed fuel tank. Faulty fuel injection nozzles. Inspect nozzles and replace if necessary. Fuel injection pump is not operating properly. Install a new pump or rebuild.

Engine stops running suddenly: Fuel injection pump timing is wrong. Use the correct fuel injection pump timing adjustment. Fuel filter element clogging. Replace the filter element. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature. Warm up the engine.

Diesel starts but stalls suddenly: Fuel filter element is dirty. Install new filter element. Fuel injection pump malfunctioning. Replace injection pump or repair it. Clogged air filter element. Clean or replace element.

Engine is overheated: Radiator core is clogged or radiator cap is leaking. Replace cap or clean radiator. Insufficient coolant fluid. Add coolant fluid to cooling system and also check it for leaks. Fan belt is broken or worn. If necessary, replace the belt. Low engine oil level. Add oil to the engine crankcase.

Low engine power: Clogged or burnt injection nozzle. Change fuel injection nozzles. Dirty fuel lines or hoses. Service fuel lines and hoses. Intake air restriction. Clean air cleaner element. Worn cylinder head gasket. Change cylinder head gasket.

Engine knocks or noises: Low coolant temperature. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature. Engine oil insufficient. Fill up the oil to required level. Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust the pump as required. Broken or worn pistons. Replace the pistons. Connecting rod is worn or not aligned. Need to replace or align the connecting rod.

Shaft splines are worn or damaged. Shaft need to be changed. Transmission fluid level is low. Check and refill the transmission fluid. Bearings are cracked or worn. Bearings replacement required. Transmission fluid is contaminated. Transmission fluid change required.

Difficulty shifting gears: Gear shift linkage is worn or rusty. Lubricate or replace the shift linkage. Clutch is out of adjustment or defective. Adjust clutch or change if necessary. Hydraulics overheating: Hydraulic oil type is improper. Fill up with the proper type of oil. Hydraulic fluid is contaminated. Fill up with new hydraulic fluid. Air in the hydraulic system. Air bleeding. Defective main relief valve. Relief valve need to be replaced.

Low hydraulic system pressure: Low hydraulic oil level. Check and refill the hydraulic oil. Clogged hydraulic oil filter. Replace filter element or clean if required. Leaking hydraulic pipes.
