Engine difficult to start or will not start: Fuel filter element is clogged. Change filter element. There is air in the fuel system. Bleed the system. Clogged or defective injection nozzles. Engine stalls after running: Fuel injection pump timing is not adjusted. Adjust as recommended. Fuel filter plugged. Replace filter element. Engine is not preheated. Warm up engine as required.

Engine starts and stops suddenly: Fuel filter plugging. Filter maintenance required. Fuel injection pump is faulty. Replacement or repair required. Clogged air filter. Replace air filter element.

Engine is overheated: Faulty radiator cap or dirty radiator fins. Install new cap or clean radiator. Insufficient coolant fluid. Refill to the correct level and inspect system for leaks. Transmission is excessively noisy: Damaged gears or incorrect backlash. Install new gears and adjust backlash properly. Damaged or worn gear shift forks. Replace defective shift forks. Shaft splines are stuck or worn out. Shaft need to be replaced. Lack of transmission fluid. Fill the transmission housing to proper fluid level. Bearings are cracked or worn. Starter turns slowly: Low battery power. Battery is drained, recharge it. Battery drains quickly. Service charging system or install new battery. Disconnected cables or faulty battery terminals. Check wiring connections and replace or clean terminals.
