Engine starts up hard or doesn't start: Fuel filter plugged. Clean or replace the filter. Air in fuel system. Bleed fuel system. Damaged or dirty injection nozzles. Replace injection nozzles. Fuel injection pump malfunctioning. Repair or replace injection pump.
Engine shuts off while running: Improper fuel injection timing. Set it up as required. Fuel filter element is clogged. Filter maintenance required. Engine has not warmed up to the recommended temperature. Warm up to required temperature.
Engine stalls after starting: Clogged fuel filter. Change the filter element. Faulty fuel injection pump. Replace injection pump or repair it. Air filter is dirty. Clean or change.
