Engine starts up hard or will not start: Fuel filter element is dirty. Clean the filter element. Air in the fuel pipes. Bleed the fuel pipes. Fuel injection nozzles are faulty or clogged. Engine stops unexpectedly during operation: Improper fuel injection timing. Set it up as required. Fuel filter element clogging. Change the filter element. Engine is cold. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.

Engine starts and stalls suddenly: Fuel filter element is dirty. Change filter element. Damaged fuel injection pump. Change pump or rebuild it. Dirty air filter element. Clean or change.

Engine overheated: Dirty radiator core or faulty radiator cap. Replace cap or clean radiator. Not enough coolant. Add coolant fluid to cooling system and also check it for leaks. Fan belt is worn or faulty. Belt change is required. Not enough engine oil. Checking oil level and add if necessary.

Diesel power loss: Faulty or dirty injection nozzles. Change fuel injection nozzles. Dirt in the fuel hoses or lines. Clean fuel system hoses and lines. Air filter element clogged. Clean or change. Cylinder head gasket is defective. Replace the gasket as required.
