Engine starts up hard or will not start: Fuel filter element is dirty. Clean the filter element. Air in the fuel pipes. Bleed the fuel pipes. Fuel injection nozzles are faulty or clogged. Test injection nozzles and change if necessary. Defective fuel injection pump. Replace injection pump or repair it.
Engine stops unexpectedly during operation: Improper fuel injection timing. Set it up as required. Fuel filter element clogging. Change the filter element. Engine is cold. Engine is not warmed up to the required temperature.
Engine starts and stalls suddenly: Fuel filter element is dirty. Change filter element. Damaged fuel injection pump. Change pump or rebuild it. Dirty air filter element. Clean or change.
