Kubota BX1850 Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check transmission/hydraulic fluid level. When the transmission/hydraulic fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Checking engine air filter element. Replace if required.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine speed, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if required.

Every 50 Hours

Check tire pressure. If necessary, inflate the tires.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Check oil level in the hydraulic tank. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Tighten wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Recommended motor oil: SAE20, SAE30 or 10W-30, SAE 10W-40. Lubricating system capacity (Kubota D722-E2): 3.1 qts (2.9 L). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Engine oil filter replacement. Oil filter part number: HH150-32430. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If necessary, add it.

Remove dirt from radiator fins with a brush.

Inspect and adjust drive belt. Replace if belt is worn. Part Number: 15881-97010.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 400 Hours

Replace hydraulic/transmission fluid. Recommended oil type - Kubota UDT or Super UDT. How much to fill - Transmission/hydraulic capacity: 12.4 qts (11.7 L). After changing the hydraulic/transmission fluid, check the level with a dipstick.

Change hydrostatic transmission fluid filter. HST filter part number: HHK20-36990. When the filter is replaced, check the transmission fluid level. If after checking the transmission fluid level is low, add it.

Perform hydraulic filter replacement. Hydraulic filter part number: K2581-36520. When the filter is replaced, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. If after checking the hydraulic fluid level is low, add it.

Front axle lubricant change. Front axle capacity: 2.4 qts (2.2 L).

Replacing air filter element. Air filter element part number: K1211-82320.

Replace fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - 12581-43012. Check diesel fuel pump operation.

Check radiator coolant. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all tubes and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Check and adjust the service and parking brakes.

Replace filter and engine oil. Check and clean the oil system.

Change engine air filter element.

Change hydrostatic transmission filter.

Change hydraulic filter and add fresh oil to transmission/hydraulic system.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 3.1 qts (2.9 L).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check and service the battery.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel pump.
