John Deere 2555 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check transmission oil level. When the transmission fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - R65450. Change as required.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - L38598. Replace with a new one if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idle speed, steering, service brakes and parking brake. If damages are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Check tire pressure. If necessary, inflate the tires.

Check the battery. Clean if required.

Checking the oil in front axle. Fill as required.

Check fluid in hydraulic system. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to the system.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check tightness of wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 250 hours

Changing engine primary air filter. Air filter part number - AZ20623 / AL65051. Change primary air filter if air cleaner indicator light continues to glow.

Check and service engine secondary air filter. Part number - AL67195 / AE31724. Replace at every third change of primary air filter.

Clean the radiator grill from dust and dirt.

Check and adjust the engine alternator/fan belt tension. Change the belt if worn.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 600 Hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended oil - Plus-50 or SAE 15W-40, classification CD, CC, SD. How much to pour - 10.0 L (2.6 gal). Check motor oil level after changing.

Replace engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: T19044. Before replacement procedure, clean the filter housing from dirt. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. Add oil if it is low. Change oil and filter after every 250 hours, if conditions are not met.

Change hydraulic/transmission fluid. Fluid type - Hy-Gard. How much to add: Collarshift transmission - 41 L (10.8 gal), Synchronized transmission w/ MFWD - 45.5 L (12.0 gal), Synchronized transmission w/o MFWD - 42.5 L (11.2 gal), Synchronized transmission w front PTO - 47.5 L (12.5 gal). After completing the filling procedure, check hydraulic/transmission fluid level.

Replacing transmission fluid filter. Transmission oil filter part number: AR75603. After installation, checking the transmission fluid level is recommended. If necessary, add it. Change return flow filter as well.

Replace return flow filter in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter part number: RE34958. Check the hydraulic fluid level after installing a new filter. If after checking the hydraulic fluid level is low, add it.

Replace fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: AR50041. Check the operation of fuel injection pump.

Check cooling system for leaks. Top up if coolant is low.

Check engine idle. If necessary, adjust the engine idle speed.

Check the fittings and hoses. Tighten as required.

Change front axle lubricant.

Adjust parking and service brakes.

Change engine oil and filter. Service oil system components.

Install a new air cleaner elements.

Change transmission filter and fluid.

Replace hydraulic filter and add fresh oil to hydraulic system.

Change hydrostatic steering oil filter after every 1200 hours. Part number: AL31413.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 15 L (4.0 gal).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check level of battery electrolyte.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
