John Deere 5115M Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If after checking the engine oil level is low, top it up.

Check transmission oil level. If the transmission fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Checking air filter. Replace if necessary.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine speed, steering system, service brakes and parking brake. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect tires and check inflation pressure. If required, add air to tires.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Checking the oil in front axle. Fill as required.

Check fluid level in the hydraulic tank. Fill the hydraulic system as required.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Check tractor for lost or loose screws and nuts.

Every 250 hours

Engine oil change. Recommended oil - Plus-50 II, SAE 10W-40, 5W-30 API Service Category CJ-4. How much to fill: Engine oil capacity - 12.1 L (3.2 gal). After completing the filling procedure, check motor oil level.

Changing oil filter. Filter part number - RE504836. When replace the filter, flushing the housing is necessary. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Clean the radiator with a brush if the fins are dirty.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and if it is worn, change it.

Check the tightening torque of the front and rear hub bolts.

Every 500 Hours

Change primary diesel fuel filter. Engine primary fuel filter part number: RE551507.

Replace engine secondary fuel filter. Part number: RE551508. Check diesel fuel pump performance.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Top up if coolant is low.

Check engine idle speeds. If necessary, adjust the idle speed on the engine.

Check the hoses and tubes. Tighten if necessary.

Change front axle fluid.

Check brake adjustment.

Every 600 Hours

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended transmission/hydraulic fluid: Hy-Gard, JDM J20C/J20D. How much to pour: Transmission/hydraulic oil capacity - 39.4 L (10.4 gal). Add transmission/hydraulic fluid to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Change filter in hydraulic/transmission system. Part number of hydraulic/transmission filter element - SJ11784. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic oil. Add oil if required.

Check cab fresh air filter. Part number: RE198488. Clean as required per conditions.

Inspect cab recirculation air filter. Part number: RE195491. Clean if required.

Every 1200 Hours

Inspect engine primary air filter. Air filter part number - SU20768. Clean if necessary.

Inspect the engine secondary air filter and clean if necessary. Part number: RE253519.

Check engine open crankcase vent filter. Part number - DZ105796, DZ105100. Replace as required.

Check engine fuel tank vent filter. Part number - H216169. Clean as required. Replace if damaged.

Check and service engine air filters.

Replace filter and engine oil. Check and clean the oil system.

Inspect and service engine primary and secondary air filters.

Install a new hydraulic/transmission filter and pour in fresh fluid.

Replace the fuel filters by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling system capacity for OOS models - 11.7 L (3.1 gal), for Cab models - 14 L (3.7 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
