Massey Ferguson 3120 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checks

Engine oil level checking. If after checking the engine oil level is low, top it up.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking procedure. If the transmission/hydraulic fluid is too low, add it.

Engine air filters checking. Replace with a new one if necessary.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine speed, steering system, service brakes and hand brake. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Oil Change And Filter Replacement

Every 250 hours

Inspect engine primary air filter. Replace if necessary. Part number - 1062501V91.

Check engine secondary air filter. Change as required. Part number - 70257029.

Change engine oil. Motor oil type: SAE 10W-30, 15W-30, 10W-40. API service classification SE, SF, SG, CC, CD, CF. Engine oil capacity: 15.6 qt (14.8 L). After filling, check the engine oil level with a dipstick.

Engine oil filter changing. Oil filter part number: 1447031M2. Before replacement procedure, clean the filter housing from dirt. After installing a new filter, check the oil level. If required, add it.

Cab air filter checking. Change as required. Cab air filter part number: 3388840V2/3389746M1 (Carbon).

Every 500 hours

Hydraulic filter change. Hydraulic filter part number: 3581032M2/4303303M1. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil. Add oil if required.

Replace engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: 3638291M1 (Spin-on) / 836218V92, 4223713M91 (Sediment Bowl). Check the correct operation of diesel fuel pump.

Every 1000 hours

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended oil - M-1127, M-1135, M-1139, M-1144, SAE 10W-30, 15W-30. API Service Category: CE, CG-4, GL-4, SF. How much is needed: Oil System Capacity - 15.1 gal (56.0 L). Check transmission/hydraulic oil level after changing.

Replacing steering oil filter. Steering filter element part number - 3619594V1 (6-in) / 3799315M1 (8-in). After installing a new filter, check the steering fluid level. Add fluid if required.

Change front axle oil. Front Axle Oil Capacity: 1.7 gal (6.0 L), Reductions Units: 0.5 gal (1.8 L). Front Axle Oil Type - Gear Lube GL-3, GL-5, 80W-90.

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Install a new engine primary/secondary air filter elements.

Change hydraulic/transmission fluid and replace hydraulic filter.

Install a new steering filter and pour in fresh steering fluid.

Replace the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Install a new cab air filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 6.6 gal (25 L).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
