John Deere 3155 Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check engine oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking procedure. If the transmission/hydraulic fluid is too low, add it.

Checking engine primary and secondary air filter elements. Replace if necessary.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idling, steering unit, service brakes and hand brake. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect rear and front tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Inspect the battery. Clean the terminals as required.

Check front axle oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Checking hydraulic fluid in system. Add if required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check wheels and tighten screws and nuts if required.

Every 250 hours

Change engine oil. Recommended engine oil: Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30. API Service Category CD, CC, SD. Oil system capacity: 11.5 L (3.0 gal). Check motor oil level after changing.

Change engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: T19044. When replace the filter, flushing the housing is necessary. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Inspect cab recirculation air filter. Replace as required. Part number: R65450 or L38598.

Check alternator/fan belt wear. Replace worn belt.

Check the torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Clean engine primary air filter elements. Replace primary air filter if air cleaner indicator light continues to glow. Air filter part number - AZ20623.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Part number - AL67195. Never clean. Replace at every third change of primary air filter.

Clean the radiator with a brush if the fins are dirty.

Check radiator coolant. Add coolant if necessary.

Every 600 Hours

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil. Transmission/hydraulic oil type - Hy-Gard. How much to pour: Transmission/hydraulic capacity: 50 L (13.2 gal) with front PTO, 48 L (12.6 gal) without MFWD. Add transmission/hydraulic fluid to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid filter. Transmission/hydraulic fluid filter part number - AR75603. After installation, checking the transmission oil level is recommended. If after checking the transmission fluid level is low, add it.

Change hydraulic return flow filter. Hydraulic return flow filter element part number - AL77061/AL56469/RE34958. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. Add hydraulic fluid if it is low.

Replace engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: AR50041. Check diesel fuel pump adjustment.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Inspect all hoses and fittings. Tighten as required.

Check hydrostatic steering oil filter. Change every 1200 hours or annually. Part number - AL31413.

Change front axle oil. Front axle capacity: 6.5 L (1.7 gal).

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Replace cab recirculation air filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 19 L (5.0 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injectors.
