Attach H165 Loader - Drive JD 3520 tractor slowly, straight into H165 loader. Align masts with mounting frames. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in PARK. Shut off tractor engine and remove key. It may be necessary to drive tractor forward slowly to keep masts/frames in line while performing the following procedures. Be sure end plates on each mounting frame are aligned with inside guide of each mast. Start tractor engine. Release parking brake and/or place transmission in NEUTRAL. Make sure masts are fully seated on frame tubes. Slowly retract lift cylinders. Masts will lower onto mounting frames and parking stand will raise to front weight bracket. Dump bucket 10-20 degrees. Retract lift cylinders raising front wheels 25-50 mm (1-2 in.) off ground. Make sure there is no dirt or debris between bottom of front weight bracket and bottom bar of parking stand.

Top bar of parking stand should rest on top of front weight bracket with at least 25 mm (1.0 in.) of engagement. Check that bottom bar of parking stand is securely hooked against bottom of front weight bracket and top bar rests on top of front weight bracket with engagement within specification. Top Bar-to-Front Weight Bracket Engagement - 25 mm (1.0 in.). On both sides, make sure latch is fully seated against brace pad and latch pin is engaged with leaf spring. Place latch on both sides of loader in "Locked" position by pulling rearward on handle to engage latch pin with leaf spring. Cap screw should contact mast pad. Make sure hose bundle is routed to avoid contact with tractor. If hose support (if equipped) was previously detached from parking stand, reinstall it using spring locking pin. Extend lift cylinders and lift bucket from ground to ensure loader is properly mounted. Install ballast box. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in PARK. Shut off tractor engine and remove key.
