Attach H180 MSL Loader - Start JD 4044M tractor engine. Drive forward and position tractor between H180 loader booms. Apply parking brake and shut off engine. If equipped with mid-mount couplers: Connect hydraulic couplers using color-coded caps and plugs.

Connect color-coded caps and plugs together. If equipped with multicoupler: Perform the following: Raise cover. Push red knob IN and rotate handle upward. Multicoupler mating halves must align properly or damage to couplers can occur. Place H180 loader coupler, into tractor coupler by aligning locating pins with holes in tractor coupler. Rotate handle downward to engage pins on loader coupler. Continue rotating handle all the way down until a click is heard, locking couplers together. Retract lift cylinders until mast saddles rest on bottom pins on both sides.

As masts are tilted back, top mounting frame pins open latches and then return them to locked position. Parking stand automatically raises to stored position under tractor during procedure. Retract bucket cylinders, dump bucket approximately 20°, and lower boom to ground. Retract lift cylinders until loader masts move back and latches contact top mounting frame pins, causing them to open. Continue retracting lift cylinders until parking stand rises to stored position and latches on both sides return to locked position. Verify parking stand bar is in stored position under tractor frame hooks.
