John Deere 4610 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checking

Engine oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check hydraulic/transmission fluid level. If the hydraulic/transmission fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Checking engine primary/secondary air filter element. Replace if required.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idling, steering, hand brake and service brakes. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 200 hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type - Plus-50, SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, 5W-40. API Service Category CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 4.8 L (1.27 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Changing oil filter. Filter part number - M806419. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. When the filter is replaced, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Transmission oil change. Recommended transmission oil: Low Viscosity Hy-Gard, J20D. How much to pour: Transmission and Hydraulic Capacity for Gear Models - 36.9 L (9.7 gal), for Hydrostatic Models - 35 L (9.2 gal). After changing the transmission fluid, check the level with a dipstick.

Transmission fluid filter changing. Transmission fluid filter part number: LVA10419. After replacing the filter, check the transmission fluid level. If necessary, add it.

Replace suction side filter. Suction side filter part number - LVA11522. Add fluid if necessary.

Every 500 Hours

Engine air filter elements checking. Replace as required. Engine primary air filter part number: M131802. Engine secondary air filter part number: M131803.

Change fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - T111383. Check diesel fuel pump operation.

Front axle fluid change. Front axle oil - Low Viscosity Hy-Gard. Front Axle Capacity - 5 L (1.32 gal).

Change engine oil and filter. Service oil system components.

Replace engine air filter elements.

Replace transmission/hydraulic filter and oil.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid.

Replace suction side filter filter.

Change the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 6.4 L (1.69 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel fuel pump.
