John Deere 6415 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily Checks

Engine oil level checking. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. If transmission/hydraulic oil is too low, fill in new oil.

Check engine air filters. Replace if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idling, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if necessary.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 500 hours

Change engine oil. Recommended motor oil type - Plus-50, SAE 15W-40, 10W-40, 5W-30. API Service Category CG-4, CF-4. Lubricating system capacity: 16 L (4.2 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the engine oil level.

Replace engine oil filter. Filter part number - RE504836. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Engine primary and secondary fuel filter change. Primary fuel filter part number: RE509208. Secondary fuel filter part number: RE509031.

Check and clean engine primary air filter. Part Number: AL172780.

Every 750 hours

Change transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended oil type - Hy-Gard, JDM J20C, JDM J20D. Transmission and Hydraulic System (SyncroPlus/PowrReverser): 52 L (13.7 gal). Check transmission/hydraulic fluid level after changing.

Replace transmission oil filter. Fluid filter part number - AL156625. After replacing the filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. Add transmission oil if it is low.

Hydraulic filter element replacement. Hydraulic filter part number: AL203060/AL203061. After installation, checking the transmission/hydraulic fluid level is recommended. If after checking the hydraulic fluid level is low, add it.

Every 1500 hours

Replacing cab fresh air filter. Cab filter part number - AL177184 (standard) / AL177185 (heavy-duty).

Change engine primary air filter. Part number: AL172780.

Change engine secondary air filter. Part number: AL150288.

Front axle oil change. Front Axle Capacity: Axle Housing - 5 L (1.3 gal), Final Drives - 0.8 L (0.21 gal). Front axle oil: Hy-Gard, JDM J20C.

Check battery charging.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel fuel pump.
