John Deere 6310 Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily Inspection

Motor oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check transmission/hydraulic oil level. If transmission/hydraulic oil is too low, fill in new oil.

Check engine primary and secondary air filters. Change if required.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idling, steering, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 250 hours

Change engine oil. Recommended motor oil type - Plus-50, SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, 5W-30. API Service Category CJ-4, CI-4, CH-4. Lubricating system capacity - 12 L (3.2 gal). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Replace engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: RE59754. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. When the filter is replaced, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Every 300 hours

Engine primary air filter checking. Clean as required. Engine primary air filter part number: AL78223.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Clean if necessary. Cab air filter part number - AL71259.

Every 500 hours

Change primary fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - RE509208.

Replace final fuel filter. Part number - RE62419. Check the efficiency of fuel injection pump.

Replace cab activated carbon filter. Never clean. Part number: L156235 and L156236.

Every 750 hours

Transmission fluid filter changing. Transmission filter part number: AL156625. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level. If necessary, add it.

Replace hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: AL156625/RE34958. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil. Add fluid if required.

Install a new front PTO oil filter. Part number: L114404.

Every 1500 hours

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid. Recommended transmission/hydraulic oil type: Hy-Gard, JDM J20C, JDM J20D. System capacity: SyncroPlus Transmission - 52 L (13.7 gal), PowrReverser Transmission - 52 L (13.7 gal), PowrQuad Transmission - 49 L (12.9 gal). After filling, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level with a dipstick.

Change cab fresh air filter. Air filter part number - AL177185/AL177184.

Replace cab recirculation air filter element. Part number - AL71259.

Replace engine primary air filter. Part number: AL78223.

Replace engine secondary air filter. Part number: AL78224.

Front axle oil change. Front Axle Capacity: Models without TLSTM - 5 L (1.3 gal), Models with TLSTM - 6 L (1.6 gal). Front axle oil: Hy-Gard.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Install a new engine air cleaners.

Change hydraulic/transmission oil.

Replace transmission filter.

Install a new hydraulic filter.

Change the primary and final fuel filters, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Install a new cab activated carbon filter.

Install a new cab recirculation air filter.

Replace cab fresh air filter.

Change front PTO oil filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity for Tractors with Cab - 13.5 L (3.6 gal), for Tractors without Cab - 11 L (2.9 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charging.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injectors.
