Massey Ferguson 1010 Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Check the engine oil level. If after checking the engine oil level is low, top it up.

Check the transmission fluid level. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Checking air filter. Replace if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine speed, steering, service brakes and parking brake. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 100 Hours

Changing engine oil. Engine oil type - 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 3.2 qt (3.0 L). After replacing the engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Replace oil filter. Filter part number - 3704178M1. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. After installing a new filter, check the oil level. Add oil if required.

Inspect front and rear tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Checking hydraulic fluid in system. Add oil to hydraulic system if necessary.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check wheels and tighten screws and nuts if required.

Every 200 hours

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3608255M1. Check the operation of injection pump.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended fluid type: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. How much to pour: Transmission/hydraulic Oil Capacity - 4.5 gal (16.9 L). After adding transmission oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Check hydraulic filter. Replace if required or annually. Part number of hydraulic filter: 72103625. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic oil. If necessary, add it.

Perform inspection and cleaning of the air filter.

Front axle oil change (4WD MF 1010 tractors). Oil Type - Permatran. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 2.44 qt (2.3 L).

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Inspect and adjust fan/alternator belt. Replace if belt is worn.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 3.2 qt (3 L).

Replacing air filter elements. Air filter element part number: 3281825M1.

Check cooling system for leaks. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idle speeds. Adjust if necessary.

Inspect all tubes and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Adjust service and parking brakes.
