Massey Ferguson 1235 Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check engine oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Check the transmission fluid level. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Checking air filter. Change if required.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 150 Hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended engine oil: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. How much to fill: Engine Oil Capacity - 4.2 qt (4.1 L). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Replace oil filter. Filter part number - 72201898. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If required, add it.

Check tire inflation pressure. Add air to tires if necessary.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Checking the oil in front axle. Top up as necessary.

Check hydraulic system oil level. Add if required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Inspect the rear and front wheels. Tighten nuts and bolts as required.

Every 200 hours

Change hydraulic/transmission fluid. Recommended fluid type: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. Transmission/hydraulic system capacity: 12.7 qt (12.1 L). After adding hydraulic/transmission oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Change filter in hydraulic system (Models equipped with hydrostatic transmission). Hydraulic filter element part number - 3609567M1 (Spin-on) / 3755328M91 (Element). After replacing the filter, check the hydraulic oil level. Add oil if required.

Remove dirt from radiator fins with a brush.

Check alternator/fan belt tension. Adjust if necessary.

Check the torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 300 Hours

Change engine primary air filter elements. Air filter element part number: 3703703M91.

Inspect and service engine secondary air filter. Replace if necessary. Part number: 3703704M91.

Change diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3608255M1. Check the efficiency of injection pump.

Replace steering filter element and change oil. Steering filter element part number - 3709106M91. Steering Oil Type - Permatran. Steering Oil Capacity - 1.2 qt (1.1 L).

Check the coolant in radiator. Top up if required.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Check the fittings and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Change front axle oil. Front Axle Oil Type - Permatran. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 4.7 qt (4.5 L).

Adjust service and parking brakes.
