Massey Ferguson 1120 Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Check transmission fluid level. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Engine air filter checking. Change if necessary.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check idle engine speed, steering unit, service brakes and parking brake. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 150 Hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended engine oil: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. How much to fill: Engine Oil Capacity - 3.2 qt (3 L). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Change engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: 3756050M91. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check tire air pressure. Inflate tires if required.

Inspect the battery. Clean the terminals as required.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Checking hydraulic oil in system. Add oil to hydraulic system if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle wheel bearings.

Inspect tractor for loose nuts and bolts.

Every 200 hours

Replace transmission/hydraulic fluid. Transmission/hydraulic fluid type - Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. Oil capacity: Standard Transmission - 13.9 qt (13.2 L) and Hydrostatic Transmission - 16.9 qt (16.0 L). After filling, check the transmission fluid level with a dipstick.

Transmission oil filter changing. Transmission oil filter element part number: 3754991M91. After installation, checking the transmission/hydraulic fluid level is recommended. If after checking the transmission fluid level is low, add it.

Changing hydraulic filter (for Hydrostatic Transmission). Hydraulic filter element part number - 3755314M91 (Spin-on). After installation, checking the hydraulic/transmission fluid level is recommended. Add fluid if necessary.

Inspect the air filter element and clean if necessary.

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Check fan/alternator belt for wear. A worn belt should be replaced.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 300 Hours

Check engine air filter elements. Change as required. Air filter element part number: 3754389M1.

Replace engine fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3755831M91. Check diesel fuel pump operation.

Check radiator coolant. Top up if required.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect and tighten the hoses and hose clamps.

Front axle lubricant change. Front Axle Oil Type - Permatran. Oil Capacity - 3.2 qt (3.0 L).

Check and adjust the parking and service brakes.

Drain water from fuel tank and change fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 5.0 qt (4.8 L).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
