Massey Ferguson 1190 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check engine oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Transmission oil level checking. When the transmission fluid is low, fill the required volume.

Check engine air filter element. Install a new filter if required.

Check coolant level in radiator. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering system, service brakes and hand brake. Repair any damage if required.

Every 150 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type - 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. Engine oil capacity: 7.4 qt (7 L). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Engine oil filter replacement. Oil filter part number: 3707892M91. When installing a new filter, flush the filter housing from dirt. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Checking the air pressure of tyres. Inflate if required.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Add if required.

Check hydraulic system oil level. Fill the hydraulic system as required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check tightness of wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 300 hours

Replace fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3707886M1/3704982M1. Check injection pump settings.

Replace hydraulic/transmission fluid. Transmission/hydraulic fluid type - Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. Transmission/hydraulic oil capacity: 8.5 gal (32.0 L). After adding transmission oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Change transmission oil filter. Transmission fluid filter part number - 3705450M91. After installation, checking the hydraulic/transmission fluid level is recommended. Add transmission fluid if it is low.

Change filter element in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter element part number - 3705452M1. Check the hydraulic oil level after installing a new filter element. If after checking the hydraulic oil level is low, add it.

Replace steering filter element and change the oil. Steering Oil Type - Permatran. Steering Oil Capacity - 2 qt (1.9 L).

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and if it is worn, change it.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Primary engine primary air filter elements replacement. Air filter part number - 3705141M91.

Check the secondary air filter and replace if required. Part number - 3705142M91.

Check the coolant in radiator. Top up if required.

Check engine idle speed. If necessary, adjust the engine idle speed.

Inspect and tighten the hoses and hose clamps.

Front axle lubricant change. Front Axle Oil - Permatran. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 7.4 qt (7 L).

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Inspect the steering filter element. Replace if required.

Drain water from fuel tank and change fuel filters.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 9.5 qt (9.0 L).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check and service the battery.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injector pump.
