Massey Ferguson 1030 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check transmission oil level. When the transmission fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Engine air filter checking. Install a new filter if required.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idling, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 100 Hours

Engine oil change. Recommended engine oil: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 3.7 qt (3.5 L). After installing a new filter, check that the engine oil level is correct.

Changing oil filter. Oil filter part number: 72118856. Oil Filter Element - 773101M2. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Inspect rear and front tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check battery charging. Replace or charge the battery if required.

Checking the oil in front axle. Add if required.

Check oil in hydraulic system. Fill the hydraulic system as required.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Check tightness of wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Replace diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3608255M1. Check the correct operation of injection pump.

Changing hydraulic/transmission fluid. Recommended fluid: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. How much is required: Transmission Oil Capacity - 8.5 gal (32.1 L). When the procedure is complete, check the hydraulic/transmission
fluid level.

Perform hydraulic filter replacement. Hydraulic filter element part number - 3435446M1 (Spin-on). Check the hydraulic oil level after installing a new filter element. Add hydraulic fluid if it is low.

Front axle fluid change (4WD MF 1030 Tractors). Front Axle Oil Type - Permatran. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 2.44 qt (2.3 L).

Clean radiator fins if fins are dirty.

Inspect and adjust fan/alternator belt. If the belt is worn, replace it.

Check the tightening torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Check the engine primary air filter element and change if required. Part Number - 1031436M91.

Inspect and replace engine secondary air filter elements. Secondary air filter element part number: 773101M2.

Check the coolant in cooling system. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine idling. Adjust if necessary.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten as required.

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Replace filter and engine oil. Check and clean the oil system.

Change air filter elements.

Replace hydraulic filter and add fresh oil to hydraulic/transmission system.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 4.4 qt (4.2 L).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injection pump.
