Massey Ferguson 1215 Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If after checking the engine oil level is low, top it up.

Transmission fluid level checking. When transmission oil is low, fill in new oil.

Check air filter. Replace with a new one if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, service brakes and hand brake. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 150 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. Oil system capacity: 2.9 qt (2.7 L). Check motor oil level after changing.

Replace oil filter. Oil filter part number: 72201898. When replace the filter, flushing the housing is necessary. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Check and inflate tires as required.

Test battery charging. If the charge level is low, charge the battery.

Check front axle oil level. Add if required.

Check oil level in the hydraulic tank. Add oil to hydraulic system if necessary.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Inspect tractor for loose nuts and bolts.

Every 200 hours

Changing transmission fluid. Recommended fluid type: Permatran 821XL, SAE 10W-30. How much is required - Transmission/hydraulic capacity: Standard Transmission - 14.3 qt (13.5 L), Hydrostatic Transmission - 15.9 qt (15.0 L). Check transmission fluid level after changing.

Replace hydraulic filter element. Hydraulic filter part number: 3754814M2 Element (Standard Transmission), 3608199M91 Spin-on (Hydrostatic Transmission). Check the hydraulic oil level after installing a new filter element. Add hydraulic oil if it is low.

Inspect and service air filter.

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Inspect alternator/fan belt. Replace if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 300 Hours

Engine air filter elements replacement. Air filter element part number: 3757472M91.

Replace engine fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: 3608255M1, 72100750 - O-ring. Check the correct operation of fuel injection pump.

Check the coolant in cooling system. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all hoses and tubes. Tighten if necessary.

Front axle oil change. Front Axle Oil Type - Permatran. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 2.9 qt (2.7 L).

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Change filter and engine oil. Check and clean the lubrication system.

Change air cleaner elements.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil.

Change hydraulic filter and add fresh oil to transmission/hydraulic system.

Drain water from fuel tank and change fuel filters.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill engine cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 5.4 qt (5.1 L).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injection pump.
