Massey Ferguson 35 Maintenance Information

Massey Ferguson 35 Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check motor oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Transmission oil level checking procedure. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering, service brakes and parking brake. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Check and inflate tires as required.

Check the battery. Clean if required.

Checking the oil in front axle. Add oil if necessary.

Check the hydraulic fluid level in system. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to the system.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Inspect the front and rear wheels. Tighten bolts and nuts as required.

Every 200 hours

Replace engine oil. Motor oil type: 10W-30, 15W-40, 20W-40. Engine oil capacity: 6.0 qt (5.7 L) for Continental Z134 gasoline engine and 10 qt (9.5 L) for Perkins engine. Check engine oil level after replacement.

Clean or change oil filter for Continental Z134 engine. Oil filter part number: 1069954M92. Replace oil filter element for Perkins engine. Part number: 835817V91 (Gas) and 837595V91 (Diesel). Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After installing a new filter, check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Clean radiator fins if fins are dirty.

Inspect alternator/fan belt. Replace if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Replace primary and secondary fuel filter for diesel engine. Primary fuel filter part number: 1850450V2. Secondary fuel filter part number: 836218V92. Clean sediment bowl for gasoline engines. Part number: 505472M91. Check diesel fuel pump/carburetor adjustment.

Check cooling system for leaks. Top up if required.

Check engine low idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect and tighten all hoses and clamps.

Check brake adjustment.

Every 750 Hours

Transmission/hydraulic fluid change. Recommended oil - Gearlube 710. How much to fill: Transmission Oil Capacity - 8 gal (30.3 L). After changing the transmission/hydraulic oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Replace hydraulic filter element. Part number of hydraulic filter element - 521451M1. After replacing the filter, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level. Add fluid if required.

Replace the steering filter element. Part number - 1052262M91 (Gas) / 1052097V1 (Diesel). Change oil if required.

Front axle oil change.

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil.

Change hydraulic filter and steering filter element.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filter.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 10 qt (9.4 L).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injection pump or carburetor.
