Ford 4630 Maintenance Information

Ford 4630 Service Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily Checking

Check the engine oil level. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Check hydraulic/transmission oil level. If hydraulic/transmission oil is too low, add recommended volume.

Check engine primary/secondary air filters. Replace if required.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idling, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If damages are found, repair it.

Oil And Filter Change

Every 300 Hours

Change engine oil. Recommended oil type: SAE 15W-40, 10W-30, SAE 10W. Oil system capacity: 7 qt (6.6 L). Add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Replace engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: 86546614 or E8NN6714AA. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is required. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. Add oil if it is low.

Check engine fuel filter elements. Service if necessary.

Check and clean the engine air filters.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Every 600 Hours

Change air filter elements. Air filter element part number: 81866927 or E9NN9B618AA, D1NN9R500A or D6NN9R500B.

Changing steering oil. Recommended oil - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Oil capacity: 2.3 qt (2.2 L). Check the steering oil level after changing.

Changing power steering filter. Steering filter part number: EDPN3K758A. When installation is complete, check the steering oil level. Add steering oil if it is low.

Every 1200 Hours

Changing transmission oil. Recommended oil - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Transmission fluid capacity: 3.2 gal (12 L) 8-Speed (8x2), 2.5 gal (9.5 L) 8-Speed (8x8), 3 gal (11.4 L) 16-Speed (16x8). After installing a new filter, check that the transmission oil level is correct.

Changing hydraulic fluid. Recommended fluid - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Hydraulic fluid capacity: 8.6 gal (32.5 L).

Replace filter element in hydraulic system. Part number of hydraulic filter: 84518613 or D8NNB486EA. When the filter is replaced, check the hydraulic oil level. If required, add it.

Replace primary and final fuel filters. Fuel filter element part number: 87801434 or D8NN9176AA, 84535312 or EDPN9N074AA, 47377748 or D8NN9176AA. Check the operation of fuel injection pump.

Change engine coolant filter. Coolant filter part number: E8NN8A424BB.

Change front axle lubricant. Front Axle Oil Type - 134D, SAE 10W-40. Front Axle Oil Capacity - 5.8 qt (5.5 L).

Change engine oil and filter. Check and clean the oil system.

Change air cleaner elements.

Change transmission and hydraulic fluid.

Replace hydraulic filter.

Replace power steering filter and change steering oil.

Change the fuel filters, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Replace engine coolant filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with new coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 12.1 qt (11.4 L).

Check all clamps and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel pump.
