John Deere 1025R Maintenance Information

John Deere 1025R Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission oil level checking procedure. When the transmission fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Engine primary and secondary air filter checking.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idle speed, steering unit, service brakes and hand brake. If malfunctions are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Check and inflate tires as required.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Top up as necessary.

Check the oil in hydraulic tank. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Check rear and front wheels. Tighten nuts and bolts as required.

Every 200 hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended engine oil: Plus-50 (5W-30/10W-40). John Deere 1025R engine oil capacity: 2.7 L (0.71 gal). Add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Replacing engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: M806418. Before replacement procedure, clean the filter housing from dirt. When installation is complete, check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Replace hydraulic/transmission oil. Recommended fluid type: Hy-gard (J20D). How much to fill - 12.3 L (3.3 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level.

Replacing hydraulic/transmission oil filter. Oil filter part number: LVA16054. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. If after checking the transmission fluid level is low, add it.

Clean the radiator fins with a brush from dust.

Check and adjust the engine fan/alternator belt tension. Replace belt if worn.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 400 Hours

Changing engine primary air filter elements. Air filter part number - M131802.

Perform inspection and cleaning of the engine secondary air filter. Part number - M131803. Change when restriction indicator is red.

Change fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - M801101. Check diesel fuel pump performance.

Change the inline fuel filter. Part number: AM116304.

Check the coolant in radiator. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idling. Adjust if necessary.

Check the hoses and fittings. Tighten as recommended.

Front axle lubricant change.

Check and adjust the service and parking brakes.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Change air cleaner elements.

Change hydraulic/transmission filter and oil and fill the hydraulic system with fresh oil.

Drain water from fuel tank and change fuel filters.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 3.7 L (0.98 gal).

Inspect all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injection pump.
