John Deere 3020 Service Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Check engine oil level. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission oil level checking procedure. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Check primary and secondary engine air filter. Clean if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idle speed, steering system, parking brake and service brakes. If damages are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Check tires and inflate if required.

Inspect the battery. Clean the terminals as required.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Check the fluid level in hydraulic system. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Check tractor for lost or loose screws and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Replace engine oil. Recommended oil type - Classification MS, DM. For Diesel - SAE 30 API, for Gasoline - SAE 20-20W API. Engine oil capacity: 7.6 L (8 qt). After installing a new filter, check that the engine oil level is correct.

Replacing engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: AR26350. Sealing washer - B3586R. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is recommended. When installation is complete, check the oil level. Add oil if required. Replace before and after winter season, and each time oil is changed.

Inspect the primary air cleaner and clean if necessary. Engine air filter part number: AR39798 (Diesel) and AR39798 (Gasoline). Check every 10 hours. Clean every 200 hours and as required.

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Inspect and adjust fan/alternator belt. Replace if belt is worn.

Check the tightening torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 500 Hours

Replace hydraulic/transmission oil. Recommended fluid type - Hy-Gard or JD Special 303. How much to fill - 41.6 L (11 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the hydraulic/transmission oil level.

Replacing transmission fluid filter. Fluid filter part number - AR75603. Sealing washer - R39596. After replacing the filter, check the transmission fluid level. If required, add it.

Replace hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter element part number - R27173. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic fluid level. Add hydraulic fluid if it is low.

Replace fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: for Diesel - AR45098/AR44077 or AR50041, for Gasoline - AR50141. Change before and after winter season.

Check the correct operation of diesel fuel pump or carburetor.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idling. If necessary, adjust the engine idle speed.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Change front axle lubricant.

Check brake adjustment.

Replace filter and engine oil. Check and clean the oil system.

Clean primary air cleaner.

Change transmission fluid and filter.

Replace hydraulic filter and fill the hydraulic system with fresh fluid.

Change the fuel filter, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 18 L (4 gal).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust injector pump (Diesel) or carburetor (Gasoline).
